Sigma Services was founded in 1994 with a simple idea: create a packaging partner that put people first. Dave Knop built the company because he came from a background that required 60 to 70 hours a week, every week. When he decided to start his own company, family became the anchor of everything — not just for employees, but in how the business would treat customers.
What started as a secondary packaging operation has grown into a full-service facility. But the foundation hasn’t changed. The decisions Sigma makes are still guided by the question: “How do we make this work for our people and our customers?”
That philosophy has compounded over three decades. When you walk the production floor on any given day, you’ll find Dave there — not because he has to be, but because he wants to be. He knows his employees’ families. He remembers the early projects. And he still believes that the relationships you build with your customers matter more than just moving volume through the door.

The philosophical anchor of Sigma Services. Dave is hands-on and visible on the production floor. A self-described “amateur mechanic” who knows his employees’ families. His focus is on relationships, values, and the long view. He believes that the foundation of a good business is taking care of the people in it.
Connor Knop, Next-Generation Leadership
Detail-oriented and process-driven. Connor is excited about cycle times, operational efficiency, and how technology can unlock capability. He carries forward the values his father instilled while adding precision and continuous improvement to every operation.
